Cedar Avenue Christmas Display & Food Drive

The beloved Cedar Avenue Christmas Display is back, and for the third year, spreading holiday cheer while raising critical support for families in our community who are food insecure. Created by the Davies family, this heart-warming neighborhood tradition transforms a passion for festive lights into meaningful action by collecting food and cash donations for the Shelbourne Community Kitchen. The display runs nightly until Christmas Day, welcoming visitors to enjoy the lights and give back.

The public is invited to visit the Cedar Avenue Christmas Display through Christmas Day, enjoy the festive lights, and make a donation of non-perishable food items or cash to support the vital work of Shelbourne Community Kitchen.

Location: The display is located at 1665 Cedar Avenue in the Shelbourne neighbourhood.

Every contribution helps ensure families across our community have access to nourishing food and essential support throughout the holiday season and beyond.

The five most needed food donations by The Kitchen are:

  • Canned proteins: tuna, ham, chicken or fish
  • Canned plain kidney, black or white beans
  • Canned tomatoes
  • Pasta sauce
  • Coconut milk

Cash donations made during the month of December will be matched by generous donors.
